I LOVE BLOGS! Everyone elses that is.... But I have realized that this would be a perfect way to journal. So---



I love this time of year when it is cooler, you don't really need a jacket, air conditioning, or your furnace yet. I can't say that I am fond of what is right behind the beautiful fall, although Forest tries to make me understand and love the change of the seasons. I'm a hard sale. I love the beauty, the warmth, and the fun of summer. No worries about slick roads etc..... anyway it's a beautful day in my neiborhood!



This past monday Karen and I had a color class to learn a new technique with the new line we have been using. We needed models, and I decided that since my own grey roots needed attention I would be my own model. Not smart. The first thing Forest said to me was, " Orange hair huh?"I'm not really fond of pumpkin colored hair, Karen and our teacher both assured me it was pretty. Ha, I say . Actually now that I've pulled it through a cap and Highlighted it, it is tollerable.. But I am so excited about the new color technique and can't wait to try it. It should be a big time saver also.



Last wednesday the 8th of October Forest and I went fishing at Magic Resevoir. It's only the second time I've gone fishing all summer. anyway, we had a lot of fun. Forest caught most of the fish, he has a license for 2 poles, which kinda bugs me cause he is always so busy with them and one of them is always in my way. The reason I bring up the 2 pole thing is we were taking turns reeling in the fish on his 2nd pole. I think he was feeling sorry for me cause he was outfishing me so bad. Anyway it was my turn when this monster bit. It was so fun cause it ran with the lure and I thought the drag was simply too loose. Every time he would get close to the boat he would turn and take all the line off the reel. It was a thrill when we finally netted the 7 and a 1/2 pounder. I would post a picture but it's on my cell phone and I don't know how to transfer the picture to my computer. (Something else for me to work on :)

Memorial Day 2007

Frosty and I went to Island Park for the long weekend. We had a great time. No fish though. Actually we caught a few and let them go so we could keep the BIG ONES, Ha! We finially kept one that is enough for us to taste. We are going to have Steaks too so we won't go hungry. Anyway no more stinking fish to worry about.

I am so sunburned!

We stayed in a motel that was right on the waters edge. (it was a real nice room which surprised me) But we didn't even fish there! We fished Henry's Lake about 18 miles north. Any way a real relaxing weekend and very fun.

We saw Bud for a second as we fished by each other. But we talked strategy and told each other our fishing woes via cell phone. It was fun to see him but it just made me homesick for all my kids & grand babies.

I had my camera with me but didn't even take a picture with it. Go figure

I have a lot to learn about blogging. But, I enjoy reading Heather's & Lora's so I'm going to try. It would be fun if all the family would blog.

Nothing exciting going on with either of us lately. So maybe when something new happens I will write about it. I can see that this would be like keeping a journal which I have never been good at. I seem a little negative at the moment I'll write later. bye
